Charter for IDA Volunteers

  • IDA volunteers will carry out their assigned duties with utmost sincerity and dedication.
  • IDA volunteers will complete their committed tasks on schedule without excuses.
  • IDA volunteers will be polite, friendly and helpful even when faced with rude or non cooperative people.
  • IDA volunteers will not tolerate any cruelty to living creature.
  • IDA volunteers will educate as many people as possible on the importance of animal welfare and care of animals.
  • IDA volunteers will recruit new volunteers whenever possible.
  • IDA volunteers will respect the rules and regulations of IDA as well as the law even during a rescue or cruelty case no matter how heinous.
  • IDA volunteers will keep an eye on their neighborhoods for stray animals and will ensure sterilization of all dogs in their area.
  • IDA volunteers will communicate their unavailability to the group heads ahead of time and ideally arrange for a replacement for themselves.
