Just wanted to some help as in my office compound one bike has ran over a puppy due to which he is not able to walk and he is not able to eat anything. Need your help as i tried to contact your helpline but i m not able to reach anyone. Please call me on 9820700501

u can start the treatment by giving him a pain killer named Prednesolone give him two in a day, one with each meal if u can, mix it in the milk let it melt and then let him drink that milk he should be soon releived of pain,
if it is a big wound pls seek help from doctor.

Looking at the puppy's state who would have died in 2-3 days i contacted other NGO's also from which the first one to respond was ASHA NGO. They had sent their doctor who visited the location and treated the doctor.
This time i was a bit disappointed with IDA as i contacted all possible numbers and just got one feedback that i should contact on some other number as they cannot do anything due to some reason. This forced me to contact other NGOs also and atleast my efforts were paid off.
Thanks to IDA again for doing brilliant work and will come back again

I faced a similar situation where a stray dog was hit by a vehicle over a flyover at Malad - e. on 7th May 2010.
A friend of mine, who was at the site, travelling over the bridge, called me up to contact any animal welfare org.
Though , others were ready to help, but were running short of vehicles, the first to reach the site was Asha NGO, they diverted the vehicle from malad -w - immediately to the site.
The dog, was any way dead, by the time they reached.
I would like to thank , Asha NGO - malad for the same.
Also my special thanks to Vardhaman seva sangh from ghatkopar [32936575] , and karuna - andheri [9819100100] who have time and again help for a noble cause.

Meenal - The Charkop & Kvli area has an active base of animal volunteers. Ahimsa is near by. Getting IDA to reach the western suburbs for a small puppy will take time. Sometimes ASHA, SOS, Karuna may take time. Be in touch with the volunteers around u & join their network. It is helpful in emergency situations. IDA is trying hard but still needs to have an Emergency Helpline.
