| Subject | Neighbours mentally harasiing to abandon my pet cats

From June 2009, my neighbor has been mentally harassing us to abandon our cats. He has been complaining that they keep pooping in his back yard.
I am pretty sure that it’s not our cats. We have our own garden for that. There are other stray cats too in my building which may be responsible for it, but he keeps blaming my cats for the same stating that it’s because of my cats that the cats population in my building is increasing, when it’s not possible as I mentioned that they are sterilized. No one in the building has issues but him.
I . We had taken all precautions for the same. We have also fenced his backyard, so that none of other building cats could enter in.
Few days after he complained; my two cats went missing. The next morning, I seen my cat lay dead in my back yard, and other one is still missing. I suspect my neighbours involvement in the same as both my cats were healthy. I have many times seen him throwing stones at my cats trying to shoo them away.
My neighbour is threatening to register a FIR with the nearby police station. He has given a notice to my building secretary as well complaining about my cats.
Is there any law that would force me to give away my cats? Can I register a case against him for mental harassment and cruelty to animals. I am very scared that my cats may be in danger as this neighbour may go to any extent to get rid of his issues. He is unemployed since ages and has all the possible free time.I really need urgent help. Could you please let me know what legal action can be taken against my neighbour and under what sections. Would it be possible for you to send him a letter /a notice from your institute stating the consequences that they will have to face.
Or you could send me the same and I can show him and the society .
Pls help as I am helpless and need your support.

Unless your Society has specific rules banning pets in the building, this man has no right to harrass you because of your cats. If you let us know where you are (in which locality / and give your phone number,), one of us could contact you directly.
Since these are cats, why don't you keep them indoors when you are not at home, and only let them out when they can be supervised? Cats don't mind being in the house, as long as they have a place to look out of the window, and some food and water if they require it. If they are outside when you are not at home, it is quite likely that they will be open to any type of harm and abuse.

Sai - Location & contact details ? Hope this is resolved
Your cats must be going out of the garden. How else would some one be able to harm them. If they do, they are part of the "menace " as put by your neighbor. Pl get all the cats in the bldg sterilised. This will stop any more additions. You have to take this up not as your cats but all cats in the neighborhood. Revert if u need help
