LETTERS
TO IDA INDIA

I was
really surprise when I saw that there is an institute
who listen to the pains of animals without owners.
We also have experience that we only can have pity
for their sufferings. But I am very happy now that
I am having support from the institute who really
takes care of these animals and relive them from pains
only after giving one telephonic call. The co-operation
given by them is beyond expectation. I am really very
very thankful to you and whole team who involves in
this treatment in real words you are angels for us
and for them.
Thanking you once
again.

Hi
all,
Listening
to so many things people did to animals and how cruel
they were my friends and i planned to make a group.A
group in which we help animals in destress. To do this
we became the voulenteers of IDA.Here we were guided
by naina athle.we also visited the ida center in vashi,
where we met all sorts of dogs rescued by ida, then
we met an angel dog who was also rescued by ida and
they found the pup paralysed when a rickshaw went
over its hind legs.Because of its guts and hope to
live we named the pup 'GUTSY'. He had his own way
of living , he always wanted to have food in the larger
bowl ,and he just proved the saying right 'SIZE DOES'NT
MATTER'......he was a total bully.But unfortunetly
,he left us all,but with a new perspective of looking
at things,
and on 26 th jan 2008, the part ceiling of the ida
center vashi fell down! after alot of communication
the nmmc people have agreed to upgrade the place!!!..
On
the 15th of march 08, our group and mrs.naina athle
visited mrs.fizzah farm in vasai. It was amazing to
see such an animal lover existing in a world where
people only look for their PROFIT! The place had all
rescued animals like dogs, birds,swans,ducks,cocks,cows,
goats and rabbits.
A
dog named charlie was a labrador who had maggots on
one of his legs. Another dog called tango was a great
dane who was dumped by his owner. A pariah dog was
named christmas as he came at the end of december.....
and his brother was called angel because he had blue
eyes!! both of them were found on the highway. its
great to see such ambitious animal lovers... hoping
that you all educate more and more people about animals....
animal lovers

I am really thankfull to Ms Vivienne Chaudhry for her prompt response to
pick up the pups from road and save them from Dyeing. There are only

animals.

To
The Vice President,
In Defence Of Animals,

Dear Madam,
Subject: Investigation of the carcass of the dog
hanging from the iron - angle in CBD Belapur, Sector 3 on
13-Oct-2006.
I thank you for your favourable and speedy approach in dealing
with
the above mentioned case.
Trustee of IDA, Ms Naina Athale and animal welfare officer Mr
Indulkar came and saw the carcass hanging and followed it up with the
administration. The first step to sensitize the administration was
effectively done.
In a case like this, where the cause of death is questionable,
the
logical conclusion would be for the police to send the carcass for autopsy
and its scientific disposal. However, in this case, since this procedure
was
not followed, the cause of the death will never be known.
Once again I thank you for your support and hope to find the same
in
future too.
Additionally, I would like to mention that I saw all the write-ups
in Mumbai Mirror and feel that it was the right approach to bring about
awareness and encourage adoption.
Thanking you
Yours truly
(ADITI LAHIRI)
Ms.
Fizzah Shah,
Vice President, IDA India.
Dear Ms. Fizzah Shah,
This letter is an acknowledgement for the work and service you have provided me when I needed help the most. You gave me the systematic and lawful information of the times I have seen that people either give half information or they are not quick enough to give help or support. But I think, for the first time ever, I received the complete lawful information and the quickest service ever possible so that I could take early positive steps to prevent people trom indulging in cruelty to stray dogs.
I sincerely appreciate your commitment and dedication in service of animals and supporting people involved in the same. I am gratefulto you for the promptness you showed in the matter.
I hope to receive similar enthusiastic support from you and your organization in the future.
My best wishes to you for further work in the field of defence of animals.
With Warm Regards,
Dr. P'radnya Shenoy

Fizzah Shah,
Vice President, IDA India.
Dear
Madam,
This
is just a small thank you note of gratitude, to appreciate
the efforts put in by you in our case against our neighbour
Mr. Narendra J. Desai, who went on making false complaints
against our family dogs and us to the various government
bodies.
We
were helpless and terrified all the time by this man as
he could go to any extent to remove our dogs from our house,
but thanks to you we live freely now.
Since
your intervention in the case we got much more support from
the BSPCA and after the letter written
by you to the Joint Municipal commissioner, the harassment
from the Dog Control officer has also stopped.
We
have no words to express our gratitude to you; all we can
say is thank you. There are a lot of people who do big talks
about caring for animals and loving them, but it feels really
nice to know that there are still people like you and your
organization who do a lot of good work for such a noble
cause.
God
bless you and your organization. Ms. Fizzah Shah,
Secretary, IDA.
Thanking
you.
Yours
sincerely,
Purna
Chitalia.
Dear
Fiza/Sudnya,
Its
come to my notice that except IDA India
none of the Animal Welfare NGO's who are in suburbs don’t
provide any kind of emergency services for the strays at
Saki Naka & Saki Vihar Road, Why such discrimination,
the strays in Saki Naka specially are in bad shape its my
everyday road as you know. I stay on Saki Vihar Road. Sometimes
I stop to feed them but as the area is really not that good
for a female to stop alone there. I have seen so many under-nutrition
dogs & sometimes they are so skinny God knows how they
must be surviving. I have seen in mornings lot of dead puppies
also, because even sterilization is neglected in these areas
& its not fair. IDA has never let me
down whenever I have asked for service, but as our ambulance
has to come from Chembur naturally because of traffic it
takes time, but these NGO's are near to that area &
still don’t provide services in Saki Naka. Fiza/Sudnya
it will be really nice if you can do something about it
& please if these 2 area dogs can be vaccinated &
sterilized I am there to help you in any circumstances but
sometimes when I am driving alone it is really not sensible
to get down alone. Please look into this matter. Waiting
for your revert. As I am a Life Member with IDA
India & I am very proud to be a part of IDA
India.
Love
Ritu Ray
