IDA Water Bowl Project

Hello Friends,

• Did you know thousands of strays die every summer in our city alone due to lack of drinking water?
• Did you know the temperatures are going to rise even more this summer and animals are going to suffer?
• Did you know this year we may be able to save these poor animals and birds from dying due to dehydration?

YES! Sarita Raturi from In Defense of Animals (IDA) has started a new WATER BOWL PROJECT to help these animals with the very basic need of every living being- Water!

What is this WATER BOWL PROJECT?

• We provide you with a FREE cement BOWL which you will place close to your home, office, in your galli, nukkad, wherever!
• We will even have it installed for you for FREE.
• All you have to do is fill it- SIMPLE! Take a five liter Bisleri bottle and go fill the bowl once every day!

Some interesting facts:

This project started on a very small scale last year with the help of a couple of volunteers who offered a helping hand with total of 5 BOWLS placed in Western Mumbai. The animals were so thrilled with the water available to them that it seemed like a wonderful idea to continue (see attached pictures of the happy animals enjoying the new found water!). Some more volunteers joined hands and now we already have 220 BOWLS installed in Mumbai area and 25 BOWLS in Navi Mumbai area. Someone in Delhi heard of this and have installed 20 BOWLS already, so we have 20 BOWLS in Noida/Delhi area too..:-)

You see how this easily becomes a movement? It's so easy to do too!!! All you need is 5 minutes of you time once a day! When you leave from home to go to market, office or wherever, just fill the BOWL or if feeling lazy ask your bai to fill it for you!!

That's very easy too! Just email Sarita at saritaraturi@hotmail.com. She will get back in 24 hours! Just tell her how many BOWLS you want, what your address and phone number is and leave the rest to Sarita.
