Many little ones arrive at our centre at Mankurd as they have lost their mother or have been left on the road side in an act of thoughtless cruelty.
They are really small and just require to be kept warm, on a hot water bottle in a basket, where they remain fast asleep most of the time. They require a little feeding at 3 to 4 hour intervals. Of course, petting them is mandatory!
Why do they need foster care? At our centre, there are large numbers of adult dogs and cats and their care, treatment and feeding and so on, forms the major part of the work done by all of our team working at the centre. There is very little time and opportunity to give the little ones the individual care they need.
