Volunteer Training Program.

By public request, we are holding a Training Programme for all you enthusiasts on Sunday 19th Feb at our centre in Deonar.

In this we are going to touch upon various aspects of Animal Care, such as:

1. Volunteering program and activities at the IDA animal shelter
2. Caring for and treating neighborhood dogs for simple ailments, injuries.
3. Fostering animals to ready them for adoption. This will include advice re infants, sick animals, handicapped animals and larger healthy pups that are ready to go, but have to learn how to behave in their new home and trained in certain ways to make them attractive to adopt.
4. Finding homes for adoption of pets and follow up of adoption cases. Also the advantages of adopting Indian and how to help encourage such adoptions
5. Why sterilization/vaccination is vital and how Volunteers can help.
6. Last but not least: An introduction to our Mini-Census Project.

Experts will be there to guide us through each topic and don't forget, at Deonar, we have plenty of willing demo dogs, cats, pups and kittens available. You get to meet them and they get to teach you just how precious animals are.

We will be supplying all participants with valuable printed material dealing with most of the topics mentioned above.

We are very keen about the Project that we are launching during this Workshop. It will be useful because all of you will be arriving at Deonar from all over the city. Your location will make you special and vital to this Project, which will be unveiled on the chosen day.

Hope you are coming. We are waiting to meet you and make a collective effort to become even more empowered to help animals as much as we can. We all know they need a lot of help.
